KGMU Nursing Officer Eligibility Criteria 2025

Meeting the eligibility requirements is the first crucial step. Candidates must fulfill the educational qualifications and age limits by the last date of application submission.

Educational Qualification:

To be eligible for the KGMU nursing officer vacancy, candidates must meet specific educational and professional qualifications by the last date of application submission (May 31, 2025).

For B.Sc. Nursing Candidates:

  • B.Sc.(Hons.) Nursing / B.Sc. Nursing from an Indian Nursing Council recognized Institute or University; OR
  • B.Sc.(Post certificate) / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing from an Indian Nursing Council recognized Institute or University.
  • Registered as Nurses & Midwife in State/Indian Nursing Council. (Uttar Pradesh/Indian Nursing Council Registration is mandatory at the time of document verification).

For Diploma (GNM) Candidates:

  • Diploma in General Nursing Midwifery from an Indian Nursing Council recognized Institute/University.
  • Registered as Nurses & Midwife in State/Indian Nursing Council.
  • Two years' experience in a minimum 50-bedded Hospital after acquiring the GNM qualification.

Candidates are solely responsible for verifying their eligibility before applying.

In addition to the educational qualification, candidates must be registered as Nurses & Midwife in the State or Indian Nursing Council. Please note that candidates will need to produce Uttar Pradesh/Indian Nursing Council Registration during document verification.

Important for GNM holders: If you hold a Diploma in GNM, you are required to have two years of experience in a minimum 50-bedded hospital after obtaining the GNM qualification.


KGMU Nursing Officer Recruitment Application Process

The application process for the KGMU Nursing Officer position is conducted online only through the official KGMU website. Applications sent through any other means will not be accepted.

KGMU Nursing Officer Selection Process 2025

Selection is based solely on the marks obtained in the Common Recruitment Test (CRT). A final merit list will be prepared based on the CRT scores for all categories separately. The selection process for the KGMU Nursing Officer position is based entirely on the Common Recruitment Test (CRT). There will be no interview as per the Uttar Pradesh Government rules.
